In German it means “special”, just like the yarn I’ve worked with.
This simple but stylish shawl is engaging and rhythmic to knit, and easy and fun to wear. The entire body is worked in garter stitch with reversible cables. Each cable is introduced using the same chart, but the crosses will be staggered; the same Garter column is repeated between the cable columns.
 
Size
One: approx. 175cm/69” wide and 58 cm/22.75” long at center spine.
 
Yarn
2 skeins of Thibetanus by Cecily Grove Yarns (65% merino; 20% Silk, 15% Yak; 480m/525y per 120g). Shown in colorway: Grove.
 
Needles
3.25 mm/US #3 circular needle (80 cm/32” long).

Cable needle, markers, tapestry needle for weaving.
 
Gauge
26 sts and 36 rows = 10 cm/4” in Garter st measured flat after wet blocking.
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.
